Friends and Neighbors,

I am absolutely thrilled to share that Emily and I are expecting our first child!

As many of you know, I launched my campaign for State Senate because I care deeply about the future of our district. However, as we prepare for this incredible new chapter, it has become completely clear to me that my most important duty right now is not as a candidate, but as a husband and a soon-to-be father.

Because I want to be fully present to support my wife and prepare for our baby, I am officially suspending my campaign for State Senate.

Because we believe so strongly in supporting mothers, babies, and the sanctity of life, we have decided to donate the remaining balance of our campaign account to 40 Days for Life - Ann Arbor. I look forward to speaking at their event later this month, not as a candidate, but as a soon-to-be father.
